Call for Proposals for National Association of Bilingual Educators Conference

In February 2011, the National Association of Bilingual Educators will hold their first ever national convention in New Orleans at the Convention Center.
 
They have issued a call for presentations, exhibitors and sponsors.  The deadline to submit a presentation proposal is September 30th and note that proposals sent by email WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

On behalf of the Executive Board and the 25 state affiliates representing more than 20,000 English Language Learners (ELL) teachers, professors, researchers, parents, advocates and policy makers collectively, it is with great pleasure that NABE invites and strongly encourages your participation at the 40th Anniversary celebration Conference scheduled for February 16-18, 2011 as a presenter, exhibitor, sponsor or volunteer.  The conference will be held at the Ernest Morial Convention Center and the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel in one of America’s most prolific and Renaissance cities. NABE needs you more than ever and extends sincere appreciation for your many years of support and contributions to maintaining a strong tradition of professional development, research and advocacy for our nation’s Bilingual and English Language Learners and families and for cultivating a multilingual society by supporting and promoting policy, programs, pedagogy, research and proessional development that yield academic succes and value native language that lead to English proficiency and respect for cultural and linguistic diversity.
 
Please refer to the instructions below in order to submit a proposal for presentation at the 40th Annual Conference in New Orleans on Feb 16-18, 2011. We also encourage you to visit the webpage (www.nabe.org) for your level of participation as a sponsor, exhibitor or contributor to our collective success at the conference.  We look forward to continuing our excellent relationship and partnership with each of you and ask that you assist us in promoting the conference with a link on your webpage.  We are expecting this to be one of our most successful and well attended conference.
