The Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority will be accepting applications for its Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Program for persons with disabilities from June 4, 2010 to June 25, 2010. The following waitlists will be open during this application period: West Bank and East Bank 2, 3 and 4 bedroom units.  The PSH units are located in Jefferson Parish and are tied to Section 8 Project Based Vouchers (PBV).  In order to qualify the household must be at or below 30% of the Area Median Income; a member of the household must have a severe, long-term disability; and, because of the disability, the household must be in need of supportive services in order to live independently and successfully in the community.
 
Beginning June 4, applications can be obtained, via mail, by calling (504) 838-5700.
 
Applications and supporting documentation will ONLY be accepted via mail.  Applications WILL NOT be accepted via fax or in person.  Completed applications should be returned to the Post Office Box listed on the application no later than June 25, 2010. Applications postmarked by the U.S. Postal Service after June 25, 2010 will not be accepted.
