New Affordable Housing for Seniors in N.O. East
NEW ORLEANS - Nazareth Inn, an apartment complex for seniors, has opened in New Orleans East offering services and amenities such as weekly grocery shopping trips, transportation for medical appointments, laundry, and parking.
Located at 9630 Hayne Blvd., Nazareth Inn provides the choice of furnished studio or one bedroom apartments with a fire alarm and an emergency call system.
Eligibility Requirements:
Individuals, aged 62 years or older and couples or two people, with the head of household who is aged 62 or older, are eligible to apply at Nazareth Inn
Some accessible units are available to individuals -under the age of 62- who require features of accessible unit. Qualified residents pay 30% of their adjusted gross income for rent.
Annual income may not exceed:
1 Person: Nazareth I: 25,140 Nazareth II: 20,950
2 Peolple: Nazareth I: 28,680 Nazareth II: 23,900
