VAYLA Sponsors Youth Activism Against English Only Policies

The Vietnamese-American Leadership Association of New Orleans is organizing a bus ride to the Terrebonne Parish School Board meeting on Tuesday, April 7 to urge the School Board Members to sign a Letter of Commitment to the Community that will declare their commitment against any proposal that would limit free speech and freedom of expression or infringe on students’ rights to speak in any language during public high school graduations.

The bus will board at the VAYLA Youth Community Center on Tuesday, April 7 at 4:30pm.  The center is located at 4646 Michoud Blvd. in New Orleans East.
