With support and funding from the Tulane Community Health Center, a free medical and community interpreter training program will begin next year.  The cost of the training, language proficiency testing and books usually costs a total of $650 per person, but everyone will receive a full scholarship and receive this training for free.  This is an effort to make standard and quality services available at low cost in the New Orleans area.  If interested please complete the attached application form (medical-interpreter-application-form) and email to katrinabadger@yahoo.com.  The training is 40 hours, and participants cannot miss days; all days are important and build on each other.
